And another great Kindle read for free!

A little later than my usual time period, but it involves horses, so that’s great!

Now we’re in the Victorian era. And at the dawn of the railway age, destitution looms for thousands of men, and animals, involved in that time-honoured occupation – moving goods and people from place to place.

Slightly less frenetic and bloody than my usual military fare, but equestrienne Sue Millard is a whip (carriage driver, for the uninitiated) with years of experience who understands horses and their history. Anything she writes on the subject is well worth reading.

I’ve just downloaded a free copy. Click on the link below to do the same!
